Lake Wilderness Wildcat Word
February 2021
Dear Wildcat Families
Thank you all for your support as we gear up for our reopening into hybrid learning model as well as continue our focus for online learning model. I know that the last few weeks have been filled with email and video communication, we appreciate your attention to the messages as well as your willingness to reach out if you have any questions. Our first priority is safety of our students and staff – learning will look different at school but we will be smiling under our masks and online in support of your student(s)!
This newsletter will recap many of the shared messages you may have previously seen. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if we can help in any way! Please read on to learn or review information about:
Supply pick up
Schedules for learning
Safety and protocol videos
Daily attestations for in-person learning
Just today I was able to meet with a family who was meeting with their new online teacher and as I look out my window I see our kindergarten Wildcats learning about hybrid learning! The smiles in both scenarios warm my heart and remind me that students are the center of our work!
What an exciting transition filled with many emotions. We are wildcats together!

Whether in class or online, WE ARE WILDCATS TOGETHER!
In lieu of a Wildcat Word video this week, we want to share this message with some helpful video links and information. Next week the video Wildcat Word will resume with your regularly scheduled programming. We recognize it may be difficult to say goodbye to a current class, teacher, or learning model through the next several weeks, and we all care about your success in whichever model is next for you!
If you are remaining remote, your next supply pickup is February 11th. We are so grateful for the special surprise many 4th and 5th grade leaders created and dropped off today for our youngest Wildcats as they remain virtual, and we will be including the finished product in our announcements next week for everyone to enjoy.
If you are returning to the building with the hybrid model, please watch our LWES Hybrid Learning video HERE. Each day, you will want to ensure you have a mask, completed attestation, ID card, and a water bottle. Have you been receiving the practice attestations that started Wednesday? If not, please let us know! lwoffice@thaomsd.us If you have questions about how to complete the attestation, please watch the tutorial HERE. Reminder to parents and guardians, please remain in your vehicle as "Wildcat only" spaces are reserved for our amazing students. See the image for our hybrid learning bell schedules.
Whichever learning model you have chosen or will attend on Monday, we look forward to seeing you there! #WildcatsTogether
Have a wonderful weekend, and GO WILDCATS!
